The Barnes & Barnes Discography:
a work in progress since 1994
updated November 11, 2023
This discography is divided into two sections. The first
section deals with recordings which feature Art and/or Artie Barnes,
whether as performers, songwriters, producers, or any combination thereof.
The second section deals with
recordings which feature their alter egos, Bill Mumy and Robert Haimer, in
the same capacity.
Additions, corrections, and general comments would be greatly
appreciated. Send them to nunki@inanotherroom.com.
Barnes & Barnes: The Main Discography
All songs are written, produced, performed, and recorded usually in
Lumania by Art & Artie Barnes, except where indicated.
1979
Barnes & Barnes
Fish Heads (2:23)
performed by Barnes & Barnes
High School Gym (2:18)
performed by Barnes & Barnes with SuLu
[7"; Lumania BB 101/102]
The catalog numbers are listed only in the run-out grooves. The
songwriting credit for both songs is given as "Art & Art Barnes," as
Robert Haimer was not yet known as Artie. Early copies do not have the
mailing address printed on the label. "Fish Heads" was premiered on The
Dr. Demento Show in 1978.
1979
Damaskas and Barnes & Barnes
A Day in the Life of Green Acres [Vic Mizzy/John Lennon/Paul McCartney?]
(3:24)
performed by Damaskas and Barnes & Barnes
Makin' Love in a Subaru [Damaskas Hollodan] (2:10)
performed by Damaskas (no Barnes & Barnes involvement)
[7"; Asinine 1]
This record does not actually provide a songwriting credit for "A Day in
the Life of Green Acres," but Mizzy/Lennon/McCartney seems like the
logical credit. The song sets the lyrics of the "Green Acres" theme song
(written by Vic Mizzy) to the tune of The Beatles' "A Day in the Life"
(written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney).

side one:

side two:
If You Hurt No One (3:37)
I Had Sex With E.T. (1:20)
[7" EP; Lumania BB 301/302]
Commonly known as the "I Had Sex With E.T." EP in honor of its most
notorious track, this EP is actually untitled. By far the most obscure
of Barnes & Barnes' major releases, it was released in a very
limited number (reported as both 200 and "a few hundred") before being
pulled due to what Bill Mumy has called "serious bigtime showbiz legal
problems."
"I Had Sex With Pac-Man" and "I Had Sex With E.T." are different sets of
lyrics set to the same tune, which was also used for "I Had Sex on TV"
(see below), "I Had Sex With Santa" (released on the Sicks CD in
2005) and two unreleased tunes: "I Had Sex With Madonna" and "I Had Sex
With Your Mother."
The catalog numbers are listed only in the run-out grooves.

The Essential Barnes & Barnes and "I Had Sex on TV" on Aged
Cheese & Fine Whines - Volume 3. "Fish Heads" has added
reverb, more subtly applied than on The Rhino Brothers' Circus
Royale. The "Party in My Pants" remix removes the spoken
interlude and concludes with a different "yeah". This variation also
appears on Zabagabee.

[CS; Rhino RNC 70828]
A sticker on the album cover reads: "Warning! The sickest songs ever
collected on one record." "Scary Love" and "I Hate the Boss" are 1983
recordings originally intended for the unreleased Kodovoner
album. "Baby Come Home" is actually an Artie Barnes solo recording. When
"Pussy Whipped" was re-recorded by Bill Mumy's bands Seduction of the
Innocent and The Jenerators (with Miguel Ferrer handling the lead
vocal), the songwriting credit was listed as Mumy/Ferrer/Jolliffe,
suggesting that Robert Haimer was not involved with writing this song.
The album was released on CD (with bonus tracks) in 2005.

[LP; Rhino RNLP 70836]
[CS; Rhino RNC 70836 / R4 70836]
[CD; Rhino RNCD 70836]
The last five tracks appear only on the CD version. This collection
features four previously unreleased songs "Blithering," "What's New
Pussycat?," "Loch Ness Lady," and "The Ballad of Jim Joy" plus a new
recording of "When You Die" which features an extra verse. "Blithering,"
"What's New Pussycat," and the new "When You Die" were recorded
specifically for this compilation, while "Loch Ness Lady" and "The
Ballad of Jim Joy" were recorded a few years earlier, possibly in 1983
for the unreleased Kodovoner album.
Several other tracks have been remixed, most noticeably "Cemetery
Girls," which has an extended introduction, and "Soak It Up," which
lacks some of the overdubs and reverb included on the original release
because the master mix tapes were missing at the time this album was
prepared. (The tapes were finally recovered in 2000.)
Also remixed for this compilation: "Boogie Woogie Amputee" (while not
drastically different from the original, it was considered enough of an
improvement for the remix to be used on the first CD release of Voobaha
as well as Yeah: The Essential Barnes & Barnes),
"Something's in the Bag," and "Swallow My Love."
Although most of the remixes remain exclusive to this compilation, the
five previously unreleased recordings "Blithering," "What's New
Pussycat?," "Loch Ness Lady," "The Ballad of Jim Joy," and the new "When
You Die" have since appeared as bonus tracks on the Amazing Adult
Fantasy and Sicks CDs.

Zabagabee: The Best of Barnes & Barnes
[VHS; Rhino Video RNVD 1903]
A video documentary of sorts which also includes the promotional videos
for "Fish Heads," "Love Tap," "Soak It Up," "Ah A," "Party in My Pants,"
"Pizza Face," and version 2 of "When You Die." A previously unheard
Barnes & Barnes instrumental, "A Power Play," plays over the closing
credits. (A vocal version would eventually appear on the Kodovoner
CD in 2005. The instrumental was included on Aged Cheese &
Fine Whines - Volume 4 in 2018.) Many familiar faces appear
in interview segments, while the videos themselves feature appearances
by such people as Bill Paxton, Dr. Demento, Rae Dawn Chong, Teri
Hatcher, Miguel Ferrer, and Flea.

(featuring Gam)." The album also includes numerous short excerpts from

"Vowels" is a recording from 1976 or 1977, making it one of the earliest
Barnes & Barnes recordings to be heard by the public up to this
point. It was remixed for this release.
Most of these tracks have since been released elsewhere: "Touch
Yourself" on Loozanteen. "I Married Mama," "Worse Than Slime,"
and "Vowels" on the Sicks CD, "I Wish I Was a Comic Book" and
"Norman" on both The Fischer King and Lost and Found
Pep, and "Astrology Rap" on Fundementals (1979-1988).

listing for that album: "Prayer for the Heart," "I Kiss My Love So
Tenderly," "What is This Thing Called Love?," "Like a Virgin," "I Loved
You Once," "Light My Fire," "The Rose," "I'm So Happy I Could Cry,"

[2CD; Rhino Handmade RHM2 7701]
This two-CD compilation includes all 61 of the previously released
Fischer recordings produced by Barnes & Barnes: the 22 tracks from Pronounced
Normal, "I Got a Camera" and "Do the Salvo" from the "Don't Be a
Singer" single, the duet version of "I'm a Christmas Tree" from Dr.
Demento's Christmas albums, the 34 tracks from Nothing Scary,
and "I Wish I Was a Comic Book" and "Norman" from the Worse Than
Slime compilation.
Also included are 12 unreleased recordings produced by Barnes &
Barnes. "God, Send Me Leonard and Sandra," "Hello Eileen, It's Larry,"
"Teen Age Idol," and "People" were recorded in December 1983, toward the
end of the Nothing Scary sessions. The alternate version of
"Scotty's Got A Cake," "I'm Sorry, Frank Zappa," "My Mother Was Right,"
the "original drum version" of "Don't Ever Get Mad At Me," and "I Gotta
Quit the Music Business, Bye Art, Bye Harold" were recorded between July
1980 and December 1983, also during the Nothing Scary sessions.
"It's a Hard Business" was recorded March 15, 1986, and was played on The
Dr. Demento Show long before its first official release here.
"Flaming Carrot Theme Song" was recorded January 1987. "Great Big Man"
was recorded April 16, 1989.
A final unreleased recording, "Last Man in the City," does not list an
official producer but is credited as "recorded" by Barnes & Barnes
circa 1983.
In addition to the 74 tracks listed above, this collection includes an
additional 26 tracks (including Fischer's complete Wildmania
album) which do not have any Barnes & Barnes involvement.
The debut release on the Rhino Handmade label was limited to 1,000
individually numbered copies and sold only via the now-defunct
rhinohandmade.com website. It took two years to sell out.

This long-delayed compilation (three other labels Varese Sarabande,
Renaissance, and Rhino were attached to the project before it finally
came out on Oglio) includes some of Barnes & Barnes' best known
songs (although only five songs overlap with their previous "best of"
album, Zabagabee) along with eight unreleased recordings.
"Kiss Me Where It Stinks," "The Public Toilet," and "Feminine Parts"
were recorded especially for this album. "Say Hello" was started in 1993
and completed for this album. "Fighting the Demon" and "Don't Up the
World" (a.k.a. "Don't Fuck Up the World") are taken from the unreleased
Kodovoner album. "So Bold" is a 1988 re-recording (and partial
re-writing) of a song released in 1982 on the obscure "I Had Sex With
E.T." EP. "Tunnel Walker" is a previously unreleased song from 1988.
In addition to the eight new recordings, seven songs make their CD
debut: "Work the Meat," "If You Hurt No One," "Learn to Kiss the Enemy,"
"The Little Man," "Pineapple Princess" (in an earlier mix than the
version on the Sicks LP), "Homophobic Dream #22," and "Sit on My
Lap and Call Me Daddy."
"E's Epistle" is the song known as "And Other Things Too (E's Epistle)"
on previous releases.
"Unfinished Business" was intended for inclusion on this album until it
was bumped in favor of the freshly recorded "Feminine Parts." An
unreleased version of "Blithering" was also considered but did not make
the final lineup. (It would eventually appear on the Amazing Adult
Fantasy CD in 2005.)
"Touch Yourself" has a slightly longer fadeout than the Loozanteen
CD, but it is still shorter than on the Worse Than Slime
compilation.
The sound collage which closes the CD is an excerpt from an alternate
mix of "Don't Be a Singer" from Amazing Adult Fantasy.

Doane Perry and Mike Baird provide additional drums and percussion.
Although several tracks have been available previously, this is the
first ever release of the complete Kodovoner LP recorded by
Barnes & Barnes between December 1981 and June 1983. The CD begins
with the five songs from 1983's Soak It Up EP, followed by the
10 songs intended for Kodovoner. Four of the 10 have been
released previously: "Scary Love" and "I Got a Job" (better known as "I
Hate the Boss") on 1986's Sicks and "Fighting the Demon" and
"Don't Fuck Up the World" on 2000's Yeah: The Essential Barnes &
Barnes. However, the Kodovoner version of "Fighting the
Demon" includes additional overdubs which are missing on the Yeah:
The Essential Barnes & Barnes version.
Although two versions of "So Bold" have been released before (on the "I
Had Sex With E.T." EP and Yeah: The Essential Barnes & Barnes),
this is a previously unavailable third version.
Of the bonus tracks, only "If You Hurt No One" has been released before
(on the "I Had Sex With E.T." EP and Yeah: The Essential Barnes
& Barnes), although "A Power Play" is somewhat familiar since
its instrumental backing track played over the closing credits of the Zabagabee
video. "Everything You Do" is an early incarnation of "The Ballad of Jim
Joy."

these tracks are previously unheard, although a later re-recording of
"Blithering" had appeared on Zabagabee.
"The Little Man (original version)" was featured on The Dr. Demento

Haimer sold a small number of CDRs of this material on eBay, but this is
otherwise a download-only release.

July-August 2008 with the exception of "Ice Cream Bed," which was
largely recorded in 1999 when the working title for the next Barnes
& Barnes album was Middle Aged Men. "I Am Stevie" is based
on "Untitled Idea," an instrumental on Robert Haimer's 1990 CDR.
Additional musicians:

[CDR]
Four unreleased tracks appear on another eBay-only release. The Three
Stooges-inspired "Ode to Curly" was recorded in 1982 or 1983 and has
been called "probably the sickest song we ever recorded" by Artie. Dr.
Demento declined to play it based on the advice of his radio station's
lawyer. "There's a Pizza in the Wind" and "Learn to Control Yourself"
are demos from around 1982-1985 performed by Art and his future wife
Eileen Davis (and without Artie). "There's a Pizza in the Wind" is an
early version of "Homophobic Dream #22." "Our Dead Dads" is the original
demo from 1998. The song was almost completely rewritten by the time it
was recorded in 2008 for Opbopachop.

As the title suggests, Hictabur
is the album Barnes & Barnes intended to release in 1988. They
ultimately shelved most of its songs, recorded additional material, and
released Loozanteen in 1991.
Aside from the four tracks used on Loozanteen ("Why Don't You Kill Me
Now," "Background Boy," "Half," and "Love Is So Noisy"), two more
appeared on Yeah: The Essential Barnes
& Barnes in 2000 ("So Bold" and "Tunnel Walker"), and
another ("The Inevitable Song") was an Amazing Adult Fantasy CD bonus
track in 2005. An earlier version of "Fighting the Demon" appeared on
both Yeah: The Essential Barnes &
Barnes and Kodovoner.
"Hell's on Fire" is the earliest available version and only Barnes &
Barnes performance of a song first released by America in 1991. "I Can't
See Your Face in Mind" is a cover of a song from the Doors' 1967 album Strange
Days. "Last Time I'm Playing Nice" and "A Kiss Is Not a
Contract" were not previously available in any form.

This is the first in a five-volume set of Barnes & Barnes rarities.
All tracks are previously unreleased. "When Uncle Bob Comes to Dinner"
(1991) has never been heard publicly in any form. "The Pee Pee Man"
(2008) is an Opbopachop outtake that received a very
limited release on a CDR sold on eBay in 2010. Robert Haimer remembers
"Welcome to the Show" (1979) and "Sol the Geek" (1978) receiving one
play each on The Dr. Demento Show,
but tapes are not known to circulate. Tapes do
circulate of Dr. Demento Show
broadcasts of "Not on the Radio" (1978) and "The End May Now Begin"
(1986), but the songs receive their first official release here. "The
Invisible Maniac" (1990) was recorded in Lumania and is the first
attempt at the song re-recorded in Studio Spazchow for Loozanteen.
"High School Gym" (1974) is the first recorded versions of the song
re-recorded in 1978 for the "Fish Heads" single. "The Vomit Song (Dr.
Demento remix)" (1978), "Clip Clop (Long Fade Version)" (1979), and
"Boogie Woogie Amputee (Duet Vocal Mix)" (1979) are variations on the
familiar master recordings. "Not on the Radio" was written in response
to Dr. Demento's refusal to play the original version of "The Vomit
Song" on the radio. The "Dr. Demento Remix" of the latter song was the
toned down version created as a result. "The End May Now Begin" is an
Art Barnes solo recording. "When You Die" is from a 1987 live
performance on The Dr. Demento Show.

A compilation of collaborations between Barnes & Barnes and Dr.
Demento. Two tracks are previously unreleased but received airplay on The
Dr. Demento Show: "The Lumanian Ballgame," an adaptation of
"Take Me Out to the Ball Game," was performed live on the show on May 6,
1979. "Midnight Roam" is a studio recording played on the show in 1988.
"Doctor of Dementia" was first released on Demento's
Mementos in 1982, "I Gotta Get a Fake I.D." on Dr.
Demento's Dementia Royale in 1980, "Astrology Rap" on Worse
Than Slime No. 1 in 1989, and "I'm a Christmas Tree" on Dr.
Demento Presents the Greatest Novelty Records of All Time - Vol. VI:

Goodbye Old Friends (2:51)
Party in My Pants (Long Version) (4:13)
Worse Than Slime (Outtake Vocal) (3:05)
[MP3/AAC/FLAC]
The first of three released versions of "So Bold" (1982) is reissued for
the first time since its appearance on the "I Had Sex With E.T." EP.
"Steve (A Tribute)" was recorded November 7, 1982 in reaction to Steve
Garvey leaving the Los Angeles Dodgers. It was credited to "Barnes &
Barnes with Mr. Cheese" (co-writer Paul Gordon) when played on The
Dr. Demento Show. "Real Happy" was recorded in 1973. "Herbert,
Don't Be So Mean" was recorded in 2012 for the video game Club
Penguin but not used. "One More Squirrel With Mustard" was
recorded around 1986-1987 and performed primarily by Art Barnes.
"Captain Kirk's Toupee," an Artie Barnes solo recording, and "Goodbye
Old Friends" an Art Barnes solo recording, were reactions to Star
Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country and premiered back to back on
The Dr. Demento Show in 1992.
"Captain Kirk's Toupee" was previously released under the title "I Stole
Captain Kirk's Toupee" on Robert Haimer's 1991-1996 CDR
in 2005. "Party in My Pants (long version)" was the b-side of "Love Tap"
in 1981. The four "Outtake Vocal" versions are variations on the
familiar recordings: "De Pumped Out Blues" is the version heard on The
Dr. Demento Show in 1978, before the vocal was re-recorded with a
slight lyric change. "I Hope She Dies" is nearly identical to the
original 1980 release, except the spoken verse has a different ending.
"Boogie Woogie Amputee" (1979) had its vocals partially re-recorded for
Voobaha. "Worse Than Slime" has significantly different
lyrics in which the narrator contemplates murder rather than suicide.
A small number of one-song CDRs with these versions of "One More
Squirrel With Mustard," "Herbert, Don't Be So Mean," "Real Happy,"
"Worse Than Slime," and "Boogie Woogie Amputee" were sold on eBay prior
to this release.

[MP3/AAC/FLAC]
The "A&R Mixes" of "Soak It Up," Scary Love," "Objectivity," "Girl
of My Dreams," and "Succeed" are relatively subtle variations on the Soak
It Up/Kodovoner tracks that helped Barnes
& Barnes land a deal with Boulevard Records. "I Had Sex on T.V."
previously appeared on Fish Heads / Barnes & Barnes
Greatest Hits in 1982. "Slut (Outtake Vocal)" has both an
alternate vocal and a longer fade. "Beautiful Naked Women" and "Foxhole
#2" are primarily performed by Art Barnes, the former a
never-before-heard song recorded around 1985 and the latter an alternate
version of the Kodovoner bonus track. "I Can't
Remember" is an Opbopachop outtake that previously
appeared on CDRs sold on eBay in 2010. "Granny & the Kid (Live)" is
not from a concert but instead a live take recorded at Art's house on
April 15, 2005 with just voices and guitar. The fully produced version
was recorded three months later. "Orphanage Porridge" is a new Art
Barnes solo recording.
A small number of CDRs with this version of "Objectivity" were sold on
eBay prior to this release.

[MP3/AAC/FLAC]
Volume 4 is lighter on genuine rarities than the other Aged
Cheese & Fine Whines collections. "Fish Heads (Demented
Origin Version)" is the first version of the song, recorded January 21,
1976, pre-dating the mid-1976 version on the 2006 Voobaha
CD. "Say Hello," "Kiss Me Where It Stinks," and "Feminine Parts" are
from Yeah: The Essential Barnes & Barnes.
"Pineapple Princess" (the mix originally released on Yeah: The
Essential Barnes & Barnes and later included on the Sicks
CD) is included here because it was omitted from the download and
streaming versions of Sicks. "Toomp" is a new
recording. "Boogie Woogie Amputee (1st Taste of Fame Version)," "Please
Squeeze My Knees Louise," and "I Love You Baby" were bonus tracks on the
original 1996 Oglio Voobaha CD but not included on the
2006 Collector's Choice CD. "What's New Pussycat" was originally on Zabagabee
and later a Sicks CD bonus track, but it was not
included on the download and streaming versions of Sicks.
"A Power Play (Instrumental)" played over the closing credits of the Zabagabee
video, but this is its first audio-only release. The "Cemetery Girls"
remix is from Zabagabee. "My Mommy Loves My Daddy" was
credited to Barnes & Barnes and John W. Christensen when played on The
Dr. Demento Show in 1989, but it was actually recorded without
Art Barnes' involvement. "Enema Delight" was recorded in 1973 and
written around the time of "Boogie Woogie Amputee."

The "Demented Origin Version" (also on Aged Cheese & Fine

1976. The "1 Step From Fame Version" is from mid-1976 and appeared on
the 2006 Voobaha CD. The third version, the one
without a parenthetical title, is the classic recording beloved by
millions all over the world. The "Solo Version" is from Bill Mumy's 1998
cassette-only children's album Kiss My Boo Boo. The
animated themes were recorded in April 2004. The live version is from
Barnes & Barnes' B.O.R.E.D. Tour performance, June 11, 2005, at
California State University Long Beach.

[MP3/AAC/FLAC]
The first "Please Please Me" is the standard version from the Voobaha
LP and CD, included here because the track was omitted from the download
and streaming versions of that album. The second "Please Please Me" has
a more subdued vocal performance. "It's a Donald Trump World" is a new
recording, a parody of the Louis Armstrong hit, "What a Wonderful
World." The two "Space Cases" songs are unused themes for the 1996-1997
TV series co-created by Bill Mumy and Peter David. "A Bomb for Hussein"
(1991) is inspired by the first Gulf War and set to the tune of
America's "A Horse With No Name." "Oh Robert" is a short link track from
1981, presumably considered for Spazchow. The full
version of "Oh Robert" remains unreleased. "Something's in the Bag" is a
subtly different alternate mix. "Pineapple Princess" is the original mix
from the Sicks LP. (CD releases
had substituted a slightly shorter alternate mix.) "Clip Clop" (1998) is
from Bill Mumy's 1998 cassette-only children's album Kiss
My Boo Boo. "The Ratings" (1981) is a parody of Tom Petty and
the Heartbreakers' "The Waiting." The performance was credited to Mick
Gwynne & The Pettycoats when played on The Dr. Demento Show.
"Music Spazchow (alternate version)" has an entirely different spoken
part. "Boogie Woogie Amputee (Zabagabee video version)" is a faux-live
recording purportedly from an acoustic set at Woodstock. "The Ballad of
Signal Hill" (also known as "A Little Town Called Signal Hill") is an
Art Barnes solo recording played on The Dr. Demento Show in
1981. "The Bored Tour (End Credits Theme)" is heard over the closing
credits of the Hep! Barnes & Barnes Live in Concert
DVDR. "Times Have Changed (Punks at Eighteen version)" (1972) has the
same verse melody as "Succeed" and was, as the parenthetical title
suggests, recorded when Barnes & Barnes were 18. "Zabagabee (Opening
Theme)" is a brief instrumental intro from the VHS of the same name.
"The Ballad of William Robinson" is a track from Bill Mumy's 1997 solo
album Dying to Be Heard.

Unreleased Recordings by Barnes & Barnes
A few of these recordings have been heard on The Dr. Demento Show
but have never been released on record. (Note that several Artie Barnes
solo tracks previously listed here are now available on Robert Haimer's
demo CDs, listed in the other section
of this discography.)
Granny and the Kid (1973)
The released versions of this song were recorded in 2005.
Dog Hump (early 1970s)
Red Butt Monkeys (early 1970s)
Where's Wally? (1973)
Freakin' on Streakin' (1974)
TV Fever (1974)

Clip Clop (Ode to Equus) (1979)
This song was remixed with louder vocals for release on Voobaha.
These Newts Are Made For Crawling (1979)
Barnes & Barnes added some of their own lyrics to the Nancy
Sinatra hit "These Boots Are Made for Walking" when they performed
this song live on The Dr. Demento Show October 14, 1979.
Da Doo Ron Ron (1980)
Barnes & Barnes and Shaun Cassidy performed this song live on The
Dr. Demento Show.
Miniature Golf (1980)
Performed by Damaskas with Artie Barnes and "Weird Al" Yankovic. Aired
August 17, 1980 on the KMET edition of The Dr. Demento Show.
I Had Sex With Your Mother (mid-1980s)
I Had Sex With Madonna (1985)
Two more variations of the tune used for "I Had Sex With Pac-Man," "I
Had Sex With E.T.," "I Had Sex on TV," and "I Had Sex With Santa." "I
Had Sex With Your Mother" is by far the rarest version (and will
likely stay that way, since Art wants it to remain unreleased). It is
filled with lyrics unlikely ever to be heard on the radio.
If You Wanna Be Happy (1985)
An early version of the song which would later appear on Sicks
features some different lyrics.
Dr. Demento's 15th Anniversary Song (1985)
Performed by Barnes & Barnes and "Weird Al" Yankovic. This is also
known simply as "The Anniversary Song" and should not be confused with
Art Barnes' "Anniversary Anthem."
Just Friends (1991)
A unique a capella performance of this John Klenner/Sam M. Lewis song
(also sung at the start of "I Love You Baby") was featured on The
Dr Demento Show in 2007, sourced from a videotape given to the
doctor by Barnes & Barnes in 1991 for possible use in his 20th
anniversary TV special.
The Pope Said Nope (2003)
A first attempt at this song began in December 2003. It was entirely
re-recorded for Opbopachop.
I Wanna Be Sedated (2020?)
Let's Have a War (2020?)
Invited to contribute to a sequel to the Dr. Demento Covered in
Punk album, Barnes & Barnes attempted the Ramones' "I Wanna
Be Sedated" but never finished it to their satisfaction. Art also
recorded a solo demo of Fear's "Let's Have a War" for Artie to
consider, but they apparently took it no further. Short excerpts of
both tracks were shared with the Barnes & Barnes Facebook group in
2023.
Robert Haimer Is a Turtle Head (2022)
Billy Mumy Doesn't Want Me in His Life (2022)
Phukstick (2022)

as the Haimoom songs but not included on the album. The first
is by Art, the other two by Artie.

Willard
includes:
Big Joe [Stewart] (3:14)
Marshall Wind [Stewart] (5:34)
Robert Haimer and Bill Mumy: background vocals
[LP; Capitol ST 540 (reissued in 1979 as Capitol SN 11989)]
Bill Mumy and Robert Haimer were teenagers when they appeared on this
album by the former member of the Kingston Trio and writer of The
Monkees' "Daydream Believer." Haimer's name does not appear in the
credits, as the "Marshall Wind" backing vocalists are credited only to
"The People." Mumy's name is misspelled ("Mummy") in the "Big Joe"
credits. Some CD reissues of this album have paired it with another
Stewart album, California Bloodlines. "Marshall Wind" is one of
two tracks omitted on the 1989 German CD California
Bloodlines/Willard Minus 2 (Bear Family BCD 15468), while the 2001
UK release California Bloodlines/Willard (Beat Goes On BGOCD
532) includes both albums in their entirety on two CDs. A 2010 US CD
(DRG DRG-CD-8512) combines the complete Willard with
Harry Nilsson's Spotlight on Nilsson.

Unreleased & Semi-Released Recordings by
Robert Haimer and/or Bill Mumy
The following songs have been registered with the U.S. Copyright Office
but are apparently unreleased. It is possible that they have never even
been properly recorded.
In a Way (1982)
Written by Bill Mumy (words) and Jay Gruska (music). Performer
unknown.
Everybody Just Wants Love (1989)
Written by Debi Neal and Bill Mumy. Performer unknown.
Connected to You (1989)
Written by Gerry Beckley and Bill Mumy. Performer unknown.
In the liner notes to his 1988-1989 demos collection, Robert
Haimer mentions two demos "probably lost forever" due to the poor quality
of the master 8-track tapes: "Is Nothing Sacred Anymore" and the Mumy
co-write "Your Mother," described as "pretty funny, but not really
completed."
The Disney Channel's 1991 Adventures in Wonderland TV series
featured an enormous number of songs written or co-written by Robert
Haimer OR Bill Mumy. (They didn't write any songs together for this
project.) I have never seen the series, but it is my impression that all
of the songs in the show were performed by people other than Haimer and
Mumy. To the best of my knowledge, none of the songs have been released on
record. I am aware of 73 songs written for the show by either Haimer or
Mumy. What follows is an alphabetical listing of these songs, with the
number in parentheses indicating the episode number of the show in which
the song appeared (when known).
